Grace Church, Boroughbridge is the name for The Crowded House in Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire.

Our Gatherings take place on Sunday mornings from 10am in the Boroughbridge Library (17 St James Square, YO51 9AR). Everyone is welcome whether you’re familiar with church or just want to explore the Christian faith.

We meet every Sunday from 10am – 11.15am in the Boroughbridge Library Jubilee Room. Our meetings are relaxed, informal and friendly, and you don’t need to know anything about Christianity or the Bible to come and join us. We start with coffee and biscuits from 10am, and the service gets going at around 10.15am. We’re normally finished between 11.15 and 11.30am. You won’t be asked to pray, read aloud or do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to come and join us!

For younger children, there is special age-appropriate teaching time during the service delivered by DBS-checked teachers.  This time includes games, a craft, and creatively-told Bible stories.  A crèche area is also available for infants and toddlers which is connected into the meeting via it’s own speaker system, so that you can still listen into what’s going on.

You can get a flavour here of what you might hear on a Sunday morning, or else catch up on what you missed, or just see what’s coming up.

Grace Church gladly confesses Jesus as King and the Bible as God’s authoritative message to us.  Leaders in the church, therefore, are servants of God’s people who seek to create a culture where people flourish in reflecting Christ.  Grace Church has a culturally diverse leadership team with a heart to grow God’s people and advance the gospel in Boroughbridge and beyond.

  • Tim Chester (pastor/elder)
  • Marcus Gurney (founding elder)

If someone said to you, “Behind this door lies unparalleled treasures of life-changing truth,” you’d want to find if that was really the case, wouldn’t you? Every honest person would. Yet this is essentially the claim made by every Christian of every age about Jesus.  Why wouldn’t you look into it?  For many people, “I just can’t be bothered,” is the tragically sad response.

If you’re no longer content with that excuse, we would love to help you consider Jesus.  We’re happy to let simple Bible readings and your questions set the agenda.  Just get in touch, and we’ll get you into a small group or start a study with you on your own.internship 1.001

Grace Church Boroughbridge longs to see the Vale of York between the Dales and Moors flooded with the life-giving knowledge of Christ just as the waters cover the sea. Driven by this desire, we want to be a church to help you reach your village.

Do you have a heart to make Jesus known in your town or village, but perhaps lack any support or don’t know where to start? Grace Church wants to help you through praying, planning, and resourcing you in order to see a gospel community take root where you live.

The Mission of God moves forward through people committed to forming communities around the gospel. If your village lacks a living and local witness to reign of Jesus, please do get in touch. We would love to start a conversation with you about partnering together for the glory of Christ in your village.bbridge scape 2
