Mission Partners

At The Crowded House we seek to play the part God gives us in Jesus’ great commission to make disciples of all nations. We do this in many ways, including praying for, encouraging and financially supporting mission partners who are spreading the gospel around the world.

Del and Laura de la Hoyde - Paris, France

Del, Laura and their children Elsa, Jethro, Zac and Owen, were sent by TCH to France in 2015 to serve in the Paris region. They are are all involved in helping people to meet Jesus and grow as his disciples in various ways. Del is growing a counselling and disciple-making ministry in their local area of Montreuil; Laura runs a literacy ministry with immigrant women; Elsa, Jethro and Zac are involved in the Christian Union movement, starting evangelistic Bible studies with their unbelieving friends.

 

Hazel Gray - Mbeya, Tanzania

Hazel has been serving with Wycliffe Bible translators since 2008, working in the area of linguistics. She analyses local languages and helps mother-tongue speaking translators to know how best to represent their languages in writing. She also checks translated Scriptures for consistency in spelling and grammar, and currently works with Bungu, Kisi, Manda, Lwila and Konongo languages.

Tim and Nim Kempton - Jos, Nigeria

The Kemptons work with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Jos, Nigeria. Tim serves as the Linguistic Coordinator, helping to ensure the linguistic foundations are in place for Bible translation projects. Nim cares for their children, Leah and Adam, and supports the Scripture Engagement team.
