Youth

At The Crowded House we are privileged to have many young people from Y7-Y13 in our church family. We want to continue partnering with families as we teach and equip their young people with the ultimate aim that they would remember their Creator in the days of their youth and live long lives following Jesus Christ.

We want parents to be confident that their young people are being taught truth from God’s word and are safe. Our volunteer Youth Workers are equipped through internal and external training and resources. All our volunteers are DBS checked and go through a recruitment process to ensure their suitability for their role. They also receive regular safeguarding training and work within our Safeguarding Policy.

Before our Sunday gathering our young people meet at 10am during term time for hot chocolate (with marshmallows and cream!) to look at the Bible passage being preached on that morning. This gives them an opportunity to explore the passage in an age-appropriate way before it is preached later on.

Sunday

Friday

Our young people meet on Friday evenings between 7:30-9:00pm during term time to enjoy Bible teaching, games, activities, a tuck shop, and TV shows!

We are delighted to run our youth work in partnership with UNION Church, Sheffield – a church planted from The Crowded House - dear friends and fellow workers in the gospel. The youth work operates under The Crowded House’s Safeguarding Policy and practices.
